Abad: Napoles is hallucinating

Budget Secretary Butch Abad claims he has never met Janet Lim Napoles, and says the Napoles list is a desperate attempt by the businesswoman to become a state witness. In an interview on ANC's Headstart, Abad said he has heard from his staff that Napoles repeatedly tried to arrange a meeting with him when he was already Budget secretary, but his staff declined. He also believes President Aquino's opponents are behind the attack on him and another Cabinet member Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala because they can't bring down the President. He also denied he was the one who tutored Napoles on how to orchestrate the pork barrel scam, saying his simple lifestyle and track record would disprove the allegations. Mornings@ANC, May 14, 2014
