MANILA -- She didn't "pass away" but yet another Miss Earth candidate made the news when she slipped on stage during the pageant's long gown competition in Alabang Wednesday night. Candidate Monique Manuel from Dinalupihan, Bulacan was about to credit her gown's designer when she tripped and fell. "Kung nadapa, it's better you pick yourself up ...hindi lang sa long gown (competition), kahit sa buhay. It's about rising every time you fall," Manuel mused. Held annually since 2001, Miss Philippines Earth selects the country's representative to the Miss Earth beauty pageant.
