Morbius the Living Vampire, a.k.a. Dr. Michael Morbius. This is Spider-Man spin off upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is intended to be the second film in Sony's Marvel Universe, adjunct to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Plot:
►Dr. Michael Morbius has experimented with wild animals, including rats and vampire bats. Suddenly a failed experiment turned him into a living vampire. He chose to use this gift to save people.

►Created by writer Roy Thomas and originally designed by penciler Gil Kane, the character first appeared as an antagonist in The Amazing Spider-Man #101.
