Bong to ask Ombudsman to reconsider plunder raps

The lawyer of Senator Bong Revilla said he will file today a motion for the Office of the Ombudsman to reconsider its decision indicting the lawmaker for plunder in relation to the pork barrel scam. Atty. Joel Bodegon said the motion will call on the Ombudsman to review the case based on available evidence and thereafter, to set aside its adverse resolution against his client. The Ombudsman has found probable cause against Revilla and others allegedly involved in the scam and will file a plunder case against them before the Sandiganbayan. The senator has already asked the Supreme Court to stop the Ombudsman from pursuing criminal proceedings against him. ANC Dateline Philippines, April 7, 2014
