PH breaks world record for longest basketball game

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines breaks the Guinness world record for the longest basketball game ever played by logging more than 120 hours of non-stop balling. The country broke the previous record of 112 hours set by the United States. The basketball marathon started March 24 and the final buzzer sounded on Saturday. Aside from breaking the record, the non-stop game also raised funds to build new homes for survivors of Super Typhoon Yolanda. -- News Now, ANC, March 30, 2014.
