PAO to appeal Cudia's case with AFP

Persida Acosta, the chief of the Public Attorney's Office (PAO), is urging the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to review the case of dismissed Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Cadet First Class Aldrin Jeff Cudia. Acosta said a witness, Commander Junjie Tabuanda of the Philippine Navy, has come forward to substantiate Cudia's claim that the vote of the PMA's Honor Committee was rigged against him. Acosta also intends to seek Malacañang's help. The AFP has said President Aquino, as commander-in-chief, has the final say in Cudia's case. Cudia's family, meanwhile, believes the decision of the PMA's Honor Committee was tainted with selfish interest. They also fear that even if Cudia is able to graduate, he will be ostracized by fellow soldiers. ANC Dateline Philippines, March 12, 2014
