Pistorius murder trial hears Steenkamp autopsy details

MANILA, Philippines – A South African court heard testimony on the autopsy conducted on Reeva Steenkamp during the sixth day of the murder trial of Oscar Pistorius. A pathologist testified with evidence so graphic that they were banned from live broadcast. Photographers were able to capture Pistorius’ reactions during the testimony, and images showed him appearing to weep as well as vomit into a bucket at his feet. But the defense team argued against an adjournment. They say a break would not improve the state of mind of the 27-year-old Olympic and Paralympic athlete. If found guilty of murder, Pistorius faces at least 25 years behind bars. -- Mornings @ ANC, March 11, 2014.
