BOC, PPA, gov't banks to extend operating hours

The Bureau of Customs (BOC), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), and government banks have agreed to extend their operating hours to ease the impact of Manila's truck ban without having to confront the city government. The PPA will extend the hours of port operations starting this weekend. Customs will also go overtime on Saturdays and Sundays. The Land Bank and Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), meanwhile, will operate until 9 p.m. on weekdays. ANC Dateline Philippines, March 5, 2014
