Greek team Olympiakos blanks Man United
MANILA, Philippines – Olympiakos Piraeus swept past an abject Manchester United team, 2-0, in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie. United looked sluggish and disjointed against an inexperienced Olympiakos side, which is bidding to reach the quarter-finals for only the second time in its history. Alejandro Dominguez opened the scoring with a clever first-half flick, while Arsenal loanee Joel Campbell added a sublime second goal. This was the first time the Greeks had beaten United in five attempts. United now face the huge task of overturning the deficit in the return match at Old Trafford next month. -- Mornings @ ANC, February 26, 2014.
