Storm-chasing windsurfers travel to U.K.

Severe weather in Cornwall, the southwestern tip of Britain’s shoreline, brought some of the world’s best windsurfers to its shores to compete in a storm-driven competition. Winds of up to 128 kilometers per hour whipped up the Atlantic Ocean to buffet the coastline, as 10 windsurfers took part. The competitions only take place in storm force conditions, which means contestants may wait months before being called for the next round. The final round saw Thomas Traversa of France take the win. -- Mornings @ ANC, February 12, 2014.
