The Department of Justice (DOJ) is expanding its rice smuggling probe beyond the operations of Davidson Bangayan. Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) now has a list of alleged big-time smugglers in various provinces and is in the process of gathering evidence. Senator Cynthia Villar, meanwhile, said it is unlikely Bangayan will stay behind bars once a smuggling case is filed against him. ANC Dateline Philippines, February 6, 2014
