Woman jailed for hitting ex-partner with hammer

MANILA – A woman was jailed Wednesday evening after allegedly hitting her former live-in partner in the head with a hammer in Quezon City. The victim, identified as Anthony Mendoza, said he dropped by the house of his former partner, Andrea dela Cruz, to visit their child when the alleged beating occurred. Dela Cruz, for her part, said she hit the victim only because she wants him to leave her alone. Dela Cruz's father, Arturo, was also arrested for attacking and hurting Mendoza as well.
