MANILA – At least 26 families who sought shelter in tents in Pasay City after suffering from the onslaught of super typhoon "Yolanda" in Tacloban started their journey back to their province on Tuesday. Buses ferried the typhoon survivors back to Tacloban, while their belongings, mostly from donations, were loaded in trucks. According to Pasay City social welfare service head Rosalinda Orobia, each of the families got as much as P30,000 to P80,000 worth of donations, both in cash and in kind. Orobia said the families, who had stayed in the tents for two months, expressed desire to go back to the devastated city so they could start rebuilding their lives. Yolanda, the strongest typhoon to ever hit the Philippines, left about 8,000 people dead or missing, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC). - Radio dzMM, 21 January 2014
