La Salle takes Game 1 of PCCL Finals

MANILA, Philippines – The De La Salle Green Archers defeated the SWU Cobras, 64-54, in Game 1 of the 2013 Philippine Collegiate Champions League Finals. The Green Archers got off to a hot start, and led by as much as 22 points in the final period before withstanding a late rally by the Cobras. Center Landry Sanjo brought SWU to within nine points, but the Cobras failed to take advantage of La Salle’s turnvoers. With the victory, the Green Archers now have a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three finals series, and are now just one win away from winning their second national title. -- Mornings @ ANC, December 17, 2013
