MANILA - A Don Mariano bus that fell off the Skyway was speeding before the accident, according to a female driver who witnessed the incident. Driver Irene Sisperez told radio DZMM her car was overtaken by the bus right before the latter plunged into SLEx. She said the accident happened around 5:15 am. Sisperez believes that the bus violated the Skyway speed limit for buses of 80 kilometers per hour. She said the incident happened so fast that she thought she started doubting what she saw until she saw the broken railing of the Skyway. Sisperez added she did not see any vehicle apart from the bus, confirming a report that the closed van was travelling along SLEx and was crushed by the ill-fated bus. She said she reported the incident when she reached the toll booth. She also confirmed that it was raining during the time of the accident. RADIO DZMM, December 16, 2013
