Vilma hints at possible Marian-Dingdong wedding

MANILA – Have celebrity couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes set a wedding date? Speculations arose after veteran actress and Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos said that she will be among the principal sponsors of Rivera and Dantes' wedding. At the sidelines of an event in Batangas over the weekend, Rivera was asked if rumors are true that she and Dantes will soon settle down. To which, Santos interrupted and said, “I will be the ninang. I will be the ninang." Looking stunned at what Santos had just said, Rivera hugged the veteran actress tightly while giving out a hearty laugh. She then said, “Ganyan lang talaga si Ate Vi, mapagbiro lang si Ate Vi. “ “Alam niya 'yun. Kung ano man ang mangyari sa akin, kung kailan man iyan, alam niyang dapat nandoon siya sa araw na pinakahihintay ko. Si Ate Vi talaga,” she said. Prodded if it will happen anytime soon, Rivera said, “Matagal pa.” In one of her past interviews, Rivera said she is happy with the current state of her relationship with Dantes, adding that they would rather make the most out of their respective careers before settling down. Dantes, on the other hand, said in a separate interview in December last year that he is hoping to settle down with his girlfriend “very soon.” “Siyempre it is my dream to have that very soon. There’s a proper time for that and I’m hoping na makarating na tayo very soon. Wala pang pamamanhikan,” he said.
