Senate showdown- Enrile won't skip Miriam speech

MANILA - Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile will not be staying home when his political nemesis, Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago, delivers a privilege speech against him in the Senate today. Instead, Enrile said he will be in the Senate when Santiago delivers her speech at 3 pm. The senator said he wants to hear firsthand Santiago's words but will not answer back since he had already said what he wanted to say in his own speech last week. He also said he only has enough energy for 2 hours. Enrile earlier described Santiago as a “cuckoo, inane and bitter mind,” “the grandmama of all falsehood fabricators,” and a “spiteful and bitterly hostile mind." RADIO DZMM, December 4, 2013
