MANILA, Philippines – President Barack Obama played host to the 2013 Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks at a reception held in the East Room of the White House. This is the second time Obama has hosted the team, who also won the Stanley Cup in 2010. On June 24, the Blackhawks defeated the Boston Bruins in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup final to win the championship. The team is expected to make another strong run at the Cup this season.
