One of Janet Lim Napoles' lawyers, Alfredo Villamor, said Lorna Kapunan's withdrawal as lead counsel will not have an effect on the serious illegal detention case. Villamor admitted he was caught off guard by Kapunan's decision but denied any animosity between them. He also said his legal representation of Napoles is limited to the serious illegal detention case, adding that he is not likely to represent Napoles at the Senate hearing on the pork barrel scam on November 7.
