MANILA - Commission on Elections Chairman Sixto Brillantes reminded candidates in the upcoming barangay elections about other candidates they should follow. Brillantes said just like in the May elections, candidates in the upcoming barangay polls can only use a specific size for their posters and that public places are off limits to their campaign materials. He said the poll body will put up hotlines and use social media to monitor possible campaign violations of the candidates. The Comelec will release the hotline numbers before the official campaign period on October 18. "Pag nagfile na sila ng certificate of candidacy nila, i-a apply na namin yung resolution namin. Bibigyan namin sila ng notice na tanggalin niyo yan. Pag hindi niyo tinanggal yan within 3 days i-chacharge na namin kayo at di-disqualify na namin kayo," he said. ANC HEADSTART, October 11, 2013
