Muslim community to extend help to brothers in Zambo

MANILA -- The Metro Manila Muslim Community for Justice and Peace has sent a letter to President Aquino detailing their suggestions to achieve peace in Zamboanga. In a press conference, the group's chairman Datu Bashir Alonto said they plan to go to Zamboanga with the help of authorities so they can provide relief goods to their Muslim brothers affected by the standoff. Alonto said they are in close coordination with other Muslim leaders to prevent the hostilities from spilling over to Manila. ANC Dateline Philippines, September 18, 2013
