Police: Fired call center agent may be behind bomb hoax
  • 5 years ago
Around 300 call center agents were evacuated from a building in Quezon City following a bomb threat received by an employee early Thursday. Authorities were called to investigate after an employee received an email detailing the alleged bomb planted on the second floor of the commercial-residential building located on the corner of G. Araneta and Aurora Avenue. Police arrived around 3 a.m. and immediately inspected the area. But the threat turned out to be a hoax. However, the police and the management of the call center suspect that the bomb threat sent via e-mail came from a dismissed employee. Police said even if the report was false, bomb threats should still be taken seriously. - Umagang Kay Ganda, 12 September 2013
