MANILA - A picture of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte driving a taxi has gone viral on social networking sites. In an interview, Duterte confirmed that he sometimes drives a taxi to personally monitor the situation in the city. He added that his passengers get to ride the taxi for free. The photo of Duterte driving a taxi was taken by Bayan Patroller Renante Luna. A video taken by ABS-CBN News also showed Duterte holding office at Quezon Park in the city. This was after electricity was cut off in city hall due to a malfunctioning transformer. Hundreds of Davao residents and even some foreign exchange students met with Duterte during his day at the park. ANC Headstart, September 4, 2013
