Tanker did not cause Cavite oil spill- owner
  • 5 years ago
MANILA -- The Philippine Coast Guard initially said the Cavite oil spill could be traced to a hose that connects the cargo hold of a tanker to an underwater oil pipeline owned by Petron. The motor tanker M/T Makisig is owned by Herma Shipping and Transport. Herma Shipping President Rico Cavestany said the ship could not have caused the oil leak, noting that there was no incident reported after the tanker completed delivery to the Rosario depot.
