Atharva Ankolekar had achieved a rare feat in the cricket world which bowlers from all over the world who had longed to do so. At that time, this left-arm spinner, who was just 4 fit tall, managed to take the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar during a practice match. Sachin was so impressed with this bowling that he had sent his signed gloves to him at that time. About 8 years after that incident, Atharva is once again in limelight.
क्रिकेट की दुनिया में जिस कारनामे को करने के लिए पूरी दुनिया के गेंदबाज तरसते थे, वह उपलब्धि अथर्व अनकोलेकर ने महज 11 साल की उम्र में ही हासिल कर ली थी। उस समय महज 4 फिट लंबा ये बाए हाथ का स्पिनर एक अभ्यास मैच के दौरान सचिन तेंदुलकर का विकेट लेने में कामयाब हुआ था। सचिन इस गेंदबाज से इतने प्रभावित हुए थे कि उन्होंने उस समय उसको अपने साइन किए हुए गलव्स भेट किए थे। उस घटना के लगभग 8 साल बाद अथर्व एक बार फिर से चर्चाओं में हैं।
