Trump's Personal Assistant
Exits Position at the White House.
Madeleine Westerhout had
been with President Donald Trump
since the beginning of his term.
Westerhout was forced to resign
after she shared intimate details
about Trump's family with reporters.
While Westerhout's remarks
were made at an off-the-record
meeting, she didn't clarify that
her comments were off the record.
Despite being loyal to Trump,
according to 'The New York Times,'
Westerhout is now considered
a "separated employee.".
Her departure surprised
colleagues, who were
unaware of the incident.
It underscores Trump's
struggle to curtail the number
of leaks which he perceives
as having plagued his administration.
Westerhout's departure
also follows a number of
exits by high-level officials
in the Trump White House
