Leh remembers bravehearts of UT agitation in 1989...Leh remembered the bravehearts of Union Territory agitation of 1989 by paying rich tributes at the martyrs' memorial park in Leh on August 27. The day was observed in Leh to pay homage to those people who were killed on this day in 1989 in police firing as an agitation lunched in support of the long-pending demand of Union Territory for Ladakh. Various leaders attended the function. Recently, Parliament abrogated Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir, and reorganising the state into two Union Territories -- Jammu and Kashmir with Assembly and Ladakh without legislature.

लेह ने 27 अगस्त को लेह में शहीद स्मारक पार्क में समृद्ध श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करके 1989 के केंद्र शासित प्रदेश आंदोलन के बहादुरों को याद किया। लेह में उन लोगों को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की गई थी जो इस दिन मारे गए थे। 1989 में लद्दाख के लिए केंद्र शासित प्रदेश की लंबे समय से लंबित मांग के समर्थन में एक आंदोलन े दौरान पुलिस फायरिंग में ये शहीद हुए थे। कई नेताओं ने समारोह में भाग लिया। आपको बता दे हाल ही में, संसद ने अनुच्छेद 370 को निरस्त कर दिया, और जम्मू और कश्मीर को विशेष राज्य का दर्जा दिया और राज्य को दो केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में बदल दिया....आपको बता दे लेह दौरे पर गए रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने कश्मीर मामले पर पाक को दो टूक जवाब दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि मैं पाकिस्तान से पूछना चाहता हूं कि कश्मीर कब पाकिस्तान का था जो उसको लेकर रोते रहते हो। पाकिस्तान बन गया तो हम आपके वजूद का सम्मान करते हैं। सिंह ने कहा कि इस मामले में पाकिस्तान की कोई जगह नहीं है। यह बात रक्षा मंत्री ने लेह में आयोजित किसान-जवान विज्ञान मेला के उद्घाटन के दौरान कही।
