Billy Ray Cyrus will compete in
the "music event of the year" category.

"Old Town Road" was famously taken down from Billboard's country charts for not "embodying the genre enough.".
But it broke the Hot 100 record by keeping the number one spot for 19 straight weeks.
The 2019 CMA awards will be
held on November 13
