Dorian May Reach Florida As Category 3 Hurricane.
The tropical storm has now been upgraded to hurricane status
while near the U.S. Virgin Islands.
It is expected to threaten
Puerto Rico, where a state of emergency has been called. .
A hurricane warning is also in effect for the British Virgin Islands.
Once Dorian passes through and enters warmer waters around the Bahamas, it may strengthen up
to a category 3 hurricane. .
At that power, it would then be
near Florida by this weekend.
