Pro Gamer Ninja
Lands Deal With Adidas.
The streamer, whose real name is
Tyler Blevins, is the first professional video game player
to sign a contract with the company.
Adidas, who sponsors many Esports teams, tells
Engadget that the deal is meant to highlight its
relationship with the gaming world.
I’m humbled, and excited, to officially announce my partnership with @adidasoriginals
. http://adidas.com/ninja #createdwithadidas, @Ninja, via Twitter.
The deal comes soon after Ninja shocked
the gaming community by leaving the
video platform Twitch for competitor Mixer.
In a recent stream after announcing his new pact, Ninja told followers that he cannot yet divulge what him
and Adidas will do.
But he added that more details will
be revealed soon and that listeners
should "use their imagination.".
Besides this new contract, Ninja also has a partnership with Samsung and is sponsored by Red Bull
