Ganesh Chaturthi falls on the 4th day after the new moon in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada. The festival starts on 2 September 2019 and extends over 11 days. On Ananta Chaturdasi ( last day), the statues are paraded through the streets, followed by singing and dancing, and then Visarjan (immersed in the ocean or other bodies of water) is performed.
