Let's do the experiment to get more information:

You Need:

1 Pack of Smarties/Skittles
Warm Water (Adult Supervision required if using hot water)
Directions:
-------------------------
1. Put smarties/skittles in a plate and make a circle.
2. Pour hot/warm water in the middle of the plate.
3. Let's the magic begin! All the candy colors will start spreading on the plate and form a rainbow.
Reason:
-------------------------
Smarties/Skittles are coated in sugar and food coloring. When you pour hot/warm water over the smarties/skittles, the colored coating dissolves and start spreading through the water.
