“Off-Facebook Activity” Tool.
Facebook is finally sharing exactly what information it’s been collecting from people.
The new “Off-Facebook Activity” feature will give users access to their online browsing histories and the option
to disassociate the data from their accounts.
The opt out offering will prevent the company from tracking what websites users visit outside of Facebook and eliminate targeted ads.
Despite disabling tracking, information will remain on Facebook servers and be used for its analytics.
Zuckerberg announced the feature over a year ago under the name, “Clear History,” in an effort to alleviate the aftermath of the Cambridge Analytica scandal
