Hundreds of black, white and orange moths gather on tree in Thailand
  • 5 years ago
This is the amazing moment hundreds of black, white and orange moths covered a tree.

The swarm of insects descended on the tree outside a gallery in Nan province, northern Thailand on May 18.

They spilt over and also clung to the nearby stone wall and rocks on the ground.

Building caretaker Khun Tae who took the footage said he was excited to see all of the ''beautiful creatures''.

He said: "There were hundreds of them. I thought they were butterflies but actually, they look more like moths. They were resting on the tree while people came and went. They looked beautiful.''

The moths had black wings with white markings and orange heads. I

It is not known what species they are.
