Families affected by the Indian government's plans to ban foreigners from using the country's surrogacy services spoke of their growing desperation in London on Saturday, as they are left unable to retrieve frozen embryos stuck overseas.
Over the past few years, India has become a popular destination for people wanting to have children using surrogate mothers, partly because its doctors and clinics broker the service at relatively low cost.
