Heavy rain has saturated the Russian city of Sochi in the past few days causing heavy flooding shown in this compilation filmed on 17 August 2019.

Footage shows a woman walking ankle deep in summer shoes as she attempts to cross the street. Cars are part-way submerged and driving on the street is reduced to a crawl.

According to local sources, the authorities are preparing for a possible evacuation due to the threat of further adverse weather including tornadoes.
