TTOR Interview: Reasons For and Role of The Decline of Christianity

After the destruction of the famous Cathedral Notre Dame de Paris many Christians felt aggrieved about the loss of an important symbol of Christian splendour. That was four months ago and the sadness and anger gave way to an eerie silence. Where is the outrage gone? Do Christians still care about Christianity? In October 20th, 2016 the highest representatives of the two largest German churches Rainhard Marx (Catholic) and Heinrich Bedford-Strohm (Lutheran) visted the Tempel Mount where they put away their crucifixes twice, once at the site of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and once at the Western Wall. After their return they claimed the authorities asked them to do that. The Jewish authorities denied that and footage of people wearing the cross on the Western Wall is all over the internet. So why did they choose the first opportunity to betray Jesus (Matthew 10:38)? Is it the common misunderstanding of the Bible that portrays Jesus as a pushover? Do Christians find the strength to fight the tides of persecution all over the world and the upcoming New-Age-climate-change-Oprah religion?
