After Plane Crash
The former NASCAR driver's private plane
crashed at a Tennessee airport on Thursday.
Earnhardt Jr., his wife, Amy, their
15-month-old daughter, two pilots
and a dog were all on board the plane.
Based on initial reports, everyone made it out alive.

Earnhardt Jr. was taken to a local hospital for
evaluation after the crash at 3:40 p.m. EST.
The plane was engulfed in flames after the crash
landing at Elizabethton Municipal Airport.
Earnhardt Jr. will take the weekend off from
his broadcasting duties at NBC Sports.
This weekend's NASCAR race will take place 15 miles
from the crash site at Bristol Motor Speedway.

at Darlington.
