Azkals beat HK for the first time

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Azkals defeated the Hong Kong football team for the first time ever in a 1-0 victory in their friendly match at the Mong Kok Stadium Tuesday night. The Azkals established a foothold early in the match, with Stephan Schrock pulling the strings in the midfield. James Younghusband scored the lone goal of the match in the 33rd minute to put the Philippines ahead, and Neil Etheridge saved the match for the Azkals with several spectacular saves in the second half. -- Mornings @ ANC, June 5, 2013
