MANILA, Philippines – Liverpool fined Uruguay striker Luis Suarez an undisclosed amount for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during a Premier League game. Suarez, the league’s top scorer with 23 goals, has been widely condemned for his behavior in Sunday’s 2-2 draw and is expected to get a lengthy ban from the Football Association. Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre said the club would stand by Suarez, but the Professional Footballers Association said the player will be offered anger management classes. -- Mornings @ ANC, April 23, 2013
