Marc Gasol named Defensive Player of the Year

MANILA, Philippines – Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol, who anchored the league’s stingiest defense, is the recipient of the 2012-13 NBA Defensive Player of the Year award. Gasol became the first European player in history to earn the honor.
