Video of alleged drunk PH diplomat in Vancouver goes viral

A video of a supposedly drunk Consul General Jose Ampeso of the Philippine Consulate in Vancouver, Canada has been posted on YouTube. According to a statement by overseas workers group Migrante, a certain Proceso Flordeliz had complained that Ampeso was drunk while conducting his official functions. He was also rudely asking for a donation and was threatening to withhold the renewal of Mr. Flordeliz's passport. The 28-second clip posted by greatauror28 on April 19 did not indicate when the incident took place, how it started, nor how it ended. Ampeso was also the subject of a 1996 sexual harassment complaint by Luli Arroyo, daughter of then Senator Gloria Arroyo. The case was dismissed after Ampeso wrote a letter of apology and agreed to attend clinical sessions on gender sensitivity and alcoholism. - Dateline Philippines, April 25, 2013
