Exit points for SoKor Pinoys identified

MANILA - As North Korea steps up its threats against the United States and South Korea, the Philippines expresses "grave concern" and hopes no armed conflict would break out. If the situation worsens, the Department of Foreign Affairs says Filipinos should head to the southern part of South Korea -- away from its border with the North. The DFA has identified the cities of Busan, Daegu, and Gimhae as rendezvous and exit points for Filipinos. Evacuation sites have also been identified including the Imho Catholic Church in Gimhae, the Gimhae Sports Stadium and the Daegu Catholic Center. Currently, the alert level in South Korea is at 1 -- the lowest of four levels, which calls on Filipinos to be vigilant. Level 2 will restrict the movements of Filipinos. Level 3 means a need to relocate them from high-risk areas while level 4 imposes a mandatory evacuation. Jorge Cariño, ABS-CBN News Mornings@ANC, April 5, 2013
