Walmart Takes Action Against
Violent Video Games in Its Stores According to CNBC, displays promoting the violent games will be removed from
the retail giant's stores. The move comes after a mass shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, that left 22 people dead. Walmart spokeswoman, via CNBC A spokesperson for Walmart says the retail giant does not plan to stop selling guns and ammunition. The spokesperson adds that these items can be found in half of the chain's locations in America. That declaration comes as a petition started by
one of Walmart's own workers has been
created to end the sale of these products. As of August 12, the petition has
over 60,000 signatures. 2020 presidential candidates
Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker
have also requested that Walmart
stop selling firearms.
