Irish teenager Nora Anne Quoirin's parents thanked Malaysian search and rescue (SAR) teams on Saturday for their tireless efforts to locate their missing daughter.

It was reported last Sunday that the family realised Nora was missing from her room at The Dusun Rainforest Resort at about 8am. The family also said she had learning difficulties.

On Tuesday, Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin called for a stop to all speculations.

He said it is wrong to assume that Nora was abducted from the resort because the police know better.

The search for Nora continues today, entering its seventh day.
