Petition By Walmart Employee Reaches 45,000 Signatures

A petition started by a junior Walmart worker in California protests the retailer’s sale of firearms.
This is after three mass shootings over the weekend left 38 people dead in Texas, Ohio, and Illinois.
Reuters reports that the petition has gathered more than 45,000 signatures.
Thomas Marshall, the 23-year-old category manager in San Bruno, began his protest via email.
He asked his fellow employees to call in sick on Tuesday, leave work early the next day, and sign a petition.
