Cathay Pacific Airways says it will not stop staff joining demonstrations, despite a double-digit fall in bookings due to social unrest in Hong Kong. Some air traffic controllers called in sick during a citywide strike on August 5, which was part of the long-running anti-government protests. The airline was forced to cancel at least 130 flights, with some delayed until the next day.
