Traditionally devotees use matchsticks during Puja. It is believed that matchsticks are holy stuff and there are certain rules to be followed while using it. If you are not following certain steps to use matchsticks during puja, havan or other sacred things bad luck will follow you.

हिन्दू शास्त्रों के अनुसार अग्नि को देव स्वरूप माना जाता है। अत: उनकी पवित्रता को बनाए रखने के लिए कुछ बातों का ध्यान रखना चाहिए। अक्सर लोग माचिस की तिल्ली जलाने के बाद उसे फूंक मार कर बूझा देते हैं। बता दें कि ऐसा करना अशुभता और अभाग्य को खुला निमंत्रण देता है ।
