Pig Ear Dog Treats An outbreak of Salmonella has affected 33 states. The CDC has linked the outbreak
to pig ear dog treats from
multiple suppliers. Even touching the popular treat could make you sick. The CDC has advised that dog-owners refrain from buying pig ears at this time. The FDA and CDC are now investigating 127 human cases of salmonella poisoning connected to pig ears. The FDA's website warns that dogs infected with salmonella “may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting."
