Pope Francis condemned the continuing gun violence attacking “defenseless people” in America. According to Reuters, America has faced three mass shootings within two weeks. Last week, three people were killed during a food festival in California. Yesterday, 20 people were killed in a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas. And today, 10 people have so far died in a shooting in Dayton, Ohio.
